Glen Marshall – Co-Principal

Glen comes from an unchurched background and was converted at the age of 15.
He has been Glenpreaching since he was 16 - with an occasional pause for breath.  As a teenager, he was a member of a Wesleyan Reform Church and was actively involved in Youth for Christ.  He has degrees in theology from London Bible College (now London School of Theology), University of Manchester and Spurgeon’s College.

After 20 years pastoring churches in Altrincham, Barnsley and Wakefield, Glen became a tutor at Northern Baptist College in 2004 and was appointed Co-Principal in 2013.  He teaches courses on Mission and Homiletics and serves as programme leader for the B.A.  His research interests include mission and western culture and contemporary approaches to preaching.

Glen has long enjoyed speaking at conferences, preaching and working with other church leaders in this country and overseas. He is a former Co-Chair of Fresh Streams (formerly Mainstream) and is currently the Chair of Urban Expression in the North West of England, as well as serving on the Council of Reference for BMS World Mission.

Beyond the world of ministry and theology, Glen, a lifelong Manchester United fan, enjoys listening to music, learning to play the saxophone, reading, film, good television and walking his dog Molly.  He and his wife Kathy, a special needs teacher, have two adult children whom they hope will soon become financially independent.

See and hear Glen speaking on 'Jesus and Jazz' at BMS Catalyst Live 2014 ...
... and sharing 'Reflections on Zaccheus' at the BU Assembly 2015.
